Before you add anything

Sometimes, the best way to prepare for a new year isn't to add more.

Elul can quickly become another season of lists, goals, and expectations. Before deciding what to take on, it may be worth asking what no longer needs to take up so much room.

That might be physical clutter in the home. It might be an impossible standard, an unfinished decision, work that expands into every available hour, or guilt about everything that isn't getting done.

One question, two perspectives: what do we want to carry into the new year?

A chance to pause, reconsider, and make more deliberate choices about what deserves space in the year ahead.

Two lenses

One conversation, from two very different angles.

Yael Wiesner

A calmer, more functional home

Yael looks at the physical and emotional weight created by possessions, habits, and long-held beliefs about what we should keep. She talks about the difference between ordinary household mess and clutter that never leaves, why letting go can be harder than it looks, and how a home can be shaped around the family you actually have right now—through realistic systems rather than perfection.

Michal Eisik

A calmer, more intentional approach to work and responsibility

Michal looks at the mental load: competing responsibilities that start to feel like personal failure, the line between genuine responsibility and unproductive guilt, and the expectation that every area of life can receive maximum attention. She explores boundaries around work, time, technology, and availability—and a more realistic definition of what enough looks like.

Two perspectives. One timely conversation about making room for what matters most.

During the masterclass

Some of what we'll explore together

  • What is taking up more space than it deserves
  • Why letting go can feel emotionally complicated
  • The difference between responsibility and unproductive guilt
  • How unrealistic expectations create unnecessary pressure
  • How to establish more supportive boundaries
  • How to define what “enough” looks like in this season

After the conversation

Turn the conversation into three small, meaningful actions.

Registrants receive three short implementation emails—one a day for three days. Each one suggests a single, doable step. Nothing to reorganize, nothing to overhaul.

Day 1

Make one physical change

Choose one item, pile, drawer, category, or unfinished household decision that is taking up unnecessary space.

Day 2

Reconsider one expectation

Identify one standard, responsibility, or source of guilt that may need to be adjusted.

Day 3

Establish one boundary

Choose one boundary around work, time, technology, or availability that will support the life you want to create.

The challenge is deliberately simple. Three small choices, at whatever pace fits your week.

A small extra

Two raffles, two prizes

Attending live and completing the three-day challenge earns raffle entries. You may enter one raffle or both, and participation can earn additional entries.
